Semantic interoperability

The openEHR foundation is a virtual community working on means of turning health data from the physical form into electronic form and ensuring universal interoperability among all forms of electronic data. The primary focus of its endeavour is on electronic health records (EHR) and related systems.

openEHR is officially approved as the main standard for eHealth platforms by ISO/NEN 13606, see link. Also see a list (link) of all countries that have officially approved openEHR as such.

MEDrecord is completely based on this open standard and we are openEHR member(link).
