Virtual Coaching for Senior Employees

Virtual coaching to support a healthy and meaningful life for older adults and employees in their retirement process.

AgeWell’s unique proposition is the development of a holistic approach which provides a virtual coach to support physical and mental health senior employees and those approaching retirement.

Grounded in advanced psychological models the AgeWell approach combines virtual coaching and social robotics with an innovative personal assistant. It also employs unique well-being software for supporting older adults and helping them plan for and transition into their retirement process.

The application is developed on top of the MEDrecord platform which provided a jump start to development time, ensured a certified secure standard for protecting user data, and allowed for advanced integrated networking and calendaring environments.

European research

The AgeWell project has a budget of € 2 million from which € 1,1 million is invested by the partners and € 900k funded by the AAL programme. The project will take 3 years.

About AAL

AAL is a European programme funding innovation that keeps us connected, healthy, active and happy into our old age.

AAL supports the development of products and services that make a real difference to people’s lives – for those facing some of the challenges of ageing and for those who provide care to older people in need of assistance.

The AAL Programme has funded the development of many new products and services designed to help us continue to live our lives the way we want to as we age. The development of novel technology and the innovative use of existing technology means we can live happier, more independent lives for as long as possible.
